Will it scratch my pans?
It can, on the wrong surface — so here's the honest rule. Use the brown abrasive side on stainless steel pots and pan bottoms, cast iron, oven trays, glass oven doors, BBQ grill plates, stainless sinks and ceramic. Do not use it on non-stick coatings, induction or ceramic cooktops, brushed or polished stainless appliances, painted or coated surfaces. For those, use the black sponge side or the soft microfiber sponge included in every kit. When in doubt, test a small hidden spot first.
Do I need a cleaning product?
No. Water is enough for most burnt-on grease. A drop of dish soap helps on oily mess.
How long does one pad last?
It depends on how much you cook and how tough the grime is. With regular use, a pad typically lasts a few weeks. Rinse it and let it air-dry after each use to make it last longer.
Can I use it on my BBQ?
Yes — on cast iron and stainless grill plates and grates, once they've cooled down. Never on a hot surface.
What are the everyday dish sponges?
The grey-and-white double-sided sponges in the Kitchen Kit and Bond-Back Kit, for the daily washing-up: a grey scrub side for everyday grime and a soft white side for plates and glasses. Save the SPONJ pad for the burnt-on jobs.
